Resilience to Failure
“Fail fast, fail often” – perhaps Silicon Valley’s most common mantra.
But even those who follow this mantra can be scared of failure. Let’s face it, failure hurts.
We are currently doing research into the different methods of training people to be okay with failure.
First starting small with little failures or rejections, then moving on to larger ‘higher cost’ rejections. We use subjective self-report and objective neurophysiology to track an individual’s progress. Our aim is to use this research to lessen the pain of failure and hence enable more and faster executions, pivots etc. in the startup community.
